LMWI Diversified Property Fund

The LMWI Diversified Property Fund is wholly managed by LandMark White Group’s investment manager, LMW Invest Pty Ltd, part of the LandMark White Group. Established in 1988, LandMark White is one of the largest and most highly skilled independent valuation and property consultancy groups in Australia. At LMW Invest, we believe in delivering expert investment and funds management services drawn from long standing valuation expertise, extensive property knowledge and in-depth market research.

The Fund aims to generate traditional property returns, predominantly via exposure to a mix of Australian listed and unlisted property securities. It also has selected exposure to international listed property investments. This distinct mix, plus the management skills of leading fund managers, allows access to a range of domestic and international assets that may not be available to many individual investors. The Fund is run by a team of investment experts who regularly research and monitor the markets. The team is committed to the highest standards of integrity, transparency and diligence.

Investment Strategy

Under the guidance of the investment manager, the Fund invests in other funds, being:

  • In relation to the unlisted components of the portfolio - those selected by LMW Invest. LMW Invest uses a rigorous selection process driven by its investment committee.
  • In relation to the listed components of the portfolio - we have chosen two funds managed by Intech as the lead underlying fund manager. The Intech funds are:
    • The Intech International Property Securities (Hedged) Trust and
    • The Intech Australian Property Securities Trust.

All other things being equal, the target position would in time be the investment mix of the Fund. But in reality, the investment exposure can change within the ranges significantly and sometimes quickly. In the initial stages of the Fund, there may be significant variances from our target mix.

September 2009 Quarter Report 

14.35%* QUARTERLY RETURN - LMWI Diversified Property Fund

We are delighted to announce that the LMWI Diversified Property Fund has provided a total return for the month of 6.14%* and 14.35%* over the quarter to 30 September 2009. This compares with the fund’s composite benchmark performance of 7.71% - an outperformance of 6.64%. The Fund also distributed 1.50 cents per unit to unit holders on the 13th October 2009.  Download the full September Report below.

2 March 2010 –   RBA raises official cash rate
At its meeting today, the RBA Board decided to raise the cash rate by 25 basis points to 4.0 per cent, effective 3 March 2010.

 
3 February 2010 –   RBA leaves official cash rate on hold
At its meeting today, the RBA decided to leave the cash rate unchanged at 3.75 per cent. This breaks a run of three consecuticve monthly increases that began in October.
